Hi there! I'm Val.

Hi! My name is Val and I love to design. Ever since I took a web design class my junior year in high school I was hooked. I love creating beautiful things, whether it’s a web site, vector graphics, or photo design. I am finishing up a degree in web design at Brigham Young University Idaho and have been doing freelance design work since January of 2017.

My wonderful husband and I have been married for almost eight years now! We have a son, Calvin, and a daughter, Grace. We live in beautiful South Eastern Idaho and love our area and the people. I love my family and working from home and I enjoy working with clients remotely and in person to give both of us the freedom of being flexible and effective.

Over the course of the last seven years I have created and managed several commercial websites, handled multiple social media channels, taken thousands of beautiful photo shoots, and worked on numerous projects for a variety of clients.

I am always looking for a new adventure. In 2017 I put together a Christmas bazaar with over 50 vendors and managed the advertising, organization and oversaw the set up, take down and operations of the bazaar. We had over 400 people attend the event and it was a passion project that I hold as a highlight of my career.

Currently I teach middle school at Taylorview Middle School in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I am the Yearbook advisor as well as the eSports coach. I teach five diverse classes to over 300 students a year, including two courses I proposed and created curriculum for in 2022.

My own website that you're currently on has been hand crafted by myself through the use of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
